एका सर्वसामान्य बाईच्या आठवणी म्हणजे साठवणीतल्या आठवणी. ६०-७० वर्षांपूर्वीच्या वातावरणात या आठवणी घेऊन जातात.
लेखिकेच्या अत्यंत जवळच्या अशा गोष्‍टी उदाहरणार्थ – तेव्हाचा समाज, शाळा, बाई, गुरूजी, शिक्षण पद्धती, पोषाख, गावातले वातावरण,
माणसांचे स्वभाव, वागण्याची पद्धत हे सगळे त्यांच्या आठवणीत आजही आहे. खूप छोट्या लेखातून लेखिकेने हे मांडले आहे.

The memories of an ordinary woman are memories in storage. These memories take us back to the atmosphere of 60-70 years ago. Things that are very close to the author, for example, the society of that time, schools, women, teachers, education system, dress, the atmosphere in the village, the nature of people, and the way of behaving—all of these are still in her memories.
